Very good jigsaw. Would recommend without reservation

For the price, it was a great deal. I had an old craftsman unit that worked but was not very user friendly. This machine is significantly higher quality than what I was using (i.e. better control, precision, less vibration). Specifically, the speed control works makes it easy to set the speed for the work that you are doing (the major reason I was looking for an upgrade) and the lack of vibration meant that it could cut pretty precisely (says someone who hates to fix bad cuts in sanding). So if you are just an occasional user or need a light duty scroll saw, this is great. If this is the primary tool in your shop, you should be willing to pay a lot more money for the next increment in technology.

This Jigsaw is well made and works better than some of the others I have used. It is easy to use and changing blades is a snap. It is hefty and looks to be a good value.

Have used this saw on several projects. I like the durable strong motor on this unit as it chews through 13/16" pressure treated plywood with no hesitation at all. The hand grip seems to fit my hand perfectly so that is a plus as a previous jigsaw that I have used was too large and cumbersome. The quick blade change feature is a huge plus too to be able to switch quickly and safely from one blade to another not wasting time to have to fumble with a screwdriver to loosen any screws or remove any plates/shields.

The Bosch JS365 is an excellent jigsaw for the price. To understand where I'm coming from, I've an avid woodworker and have been using wood saws for over 30 years. I've never though much of jigsaws up to this point and have only used them from really roughing out curved cuts in thin soft wood. I've had this negative bias for jigsaws since I've never paid anything more then 50-$60 for them. I've had skill, craftsman and probably worse when I was younger. Now using this JS365, I'm honestly really happy with it. It cuts amazingly fast with the Bosch blades. It cuts pretty cleanly and although I've had some small tear out on one side of a rift cut (Sweet Gum), I hadn't tried a different less aggressive blade on that piece so I won't fault anyone but myself so far. The old Makita allowed me a dial on the trigger. That meant when I locked the trigger it would give me exactly that speed, no matter how slow. The new wave of jigsaws do not do that. You choose a range and trigger within that range or lock trigger at the top of that range; there are 6 clicks on a wheel between 500-3100 RPM. This is also higher than the old Makita. But not as high as the Milwaukee, which like the old Makita had a stamped steel shoe. I don't like the round feel of these new bosche saws, just too rounded. Got this when I decided to build a boat over the summer and I needed a jig saw for the complex cuts. I love it, great responsiveness, control, and with jig it works well for my straight cuts so I don't have to keep borrowing a skill saw from the neighbors. Motor is nicely powerful, has stood up for dozens of hours of cutting, mad fast work of 2x4s. Button is nicely responsive to control speed while making complex cuts. Blower does a nice job keeping site line clear. As far as the blade exchange, I wouldn't use any other brand, looking at them I can see why others have broken, using the spring to keep the blade in in the same force direction as the cutting.
